It’ll be a 6-week personalised Mentorship Program with 5 mentoring sessions a week for 3 hours a day, with a maximum of 8-10 Mentees per batch.
The mentees will get the opportunity to craft metal pieces under the guidance of Metal Man Deval Verma.
Being one of the most popular and well-celebrated Metal artists in India, Deval Verma’s journey speaks of its own Glory, From Small metal models to large scale projects made from scrap, Deval has done it all and has done it in style.
During his childhood, Deval Verma used to wake up early on a Sunday to catch up with Harun Robert – the artist celebrated for creating incredible artworks from waste materials. Robert hosted the show M.A.D (Music, Art, and Dance) that aired on Pogo Channel. And it was he who introduced the concepts of recycling and ‘Do-It-Yourself’ (DIY) to Deval for the first time. Today, Deval has carved his own niche in the same industry. The metal man makes elegant artworks upcycled from scrap metal.
Even before he could fully understand the meaning of upcycling, he was using waste materials to make miniature models of cars and motorcycles. After every episode of M.A.D, he would try to use some of Rob’s techniques to build something. He maintained a small kit where he kept all the scrap that he found in his house and school.
Deval’s incredible artistry is famed far and wide. He has a strong client base across India and in countries like Singapore, Italy and the United States. With a post-graduate diploma in Product Design, this artist is credited with 100 artworks made from three tonnes of waste.
