It’ll be a 4-week personalised Mentorship Program with flexible mentoring sessions, with a maximum of 6 Mentees per batch.
The mentees will get the opportunity to shadow the mentor to live stand-up events.

This course is for anyone who is curious to know what goes behind the actual act of making somebody laugh and the process of writing ones own joke.

A writer, a performer and an outstanding stand-up artist, who believes in the endless process of learning and unlearning. His journey started with casual stand-up performances for his college peers, half a decade back, But it was for Zakir Khan that he first got the chance to open for an artist and since then there has been no looking back as he has opened hundreds of shows throughout India. His expertise in content creation and adaptation, along with impeccable comic timing makes him one of the most favourite stand-up comedians and RJs of Indore.
The outline of this mentorship program is as follows:
Week 1- Writing, Editing & Adjusting jokes for stand-up, Finding the right content, Brainstorming before the show & Learning about the do’s and don’ts of standup writing
Week 2- Rehearsal techniques, Delivering with emotion, purpose and act-outs, characters, impressions etc, Understanding the audience- Which joke will work in which market, Reading the energy of the room, etc
Week 3- Performance- Using the tools of pacing, pauses, inflexion and gesture for an impactful performance, Psychological aspects of Stand up – the Understanding layout of the venue, stage lights, sound, etc to make a show more impactful.
Week 4- Putting up a great stand-up comedy show, Final Thoughts Before You Go On Stage, Going to open mics.
After the successful completion of this program, you’ll get Scool.in Certification and complete understanding of stand-up.
